History
Kaimosi Bible College, a College of the international Pentecostal Church of Christ
History: KBC began as short-term classes at Kaimosi Farms Gospel Mission in 1938. The school buildings were constructed in 1951-1952, and a 3 year Diploma in Bible and Theology began soon after. Over the years, there have been great visitations of the Holy Spirit, as KBC was host to many local and international special meetings, conventions, and seminars that impacted many lives for decades. There have also been many changes in administration and development of curriculum to keep KBC relevant in theological academics. KBC has been blessed by many men and women of God who gave their all to teach and train church leaders, focusing on Jesus Christ as the Center for all activities.
Many pastors, evangelists, and leaders from all over Kenya, as well as from most of the countries of East and Central Africa, are graduates of Kaimosi Bible College. It has always been a faith-based college, offering different levels of education to meet the needs of all who desire to be well-equipped for ministry.
Presently there is a 2 year Diploma and a one year Certificate offered in Bible and Theology, with an emphasis on Christian Ministry. Students participate in evangelism, Pastoral Program Instruction (PPI), student chapel services,
and other opportunities. We also offer 2 month course in Computer packages for the local community, holiday short courses and distance learning at Kaimosi and Moyo in Uganda.
ALUMNI
Greetings from Haron Wambia Kiragu, Kaimosi Bible College (KBC) class of 1987. After graduating from KBC, I moved to Eldoret where I began working with the Sirikwa Pentecostal Fellowship and PEFA (Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa) in the broader North Rift region. Driven by my passion for ministry, I established a church in Kahoya, Eldoret, and have been serving there ever since.
I later advanced my theological studies with a Bachelor of Arts from International Christian Ministries seminary in 1995. Presently, I am working toward the acquisition of a Master’s degree, which will improve my efficacy in ministry service. These last years have indeed been a very great blessing, full of faith and ministry.
I have been blessed with a wonderful wife, Esther Waithera Wambia, and we are celebrating 28 joyous years of marriage. We are proud parents of three lovely children: Franklin, Maureen, and Marion. Our family has always been my support during this journey in ministry, and I am thankful for their unwavering encouragement.
Besides my work with PEFA, I have had the privilege of serving as the Director of Harbinger’s Bible and Missionary Training Institute for many years. This interdenominational ministry is dedicated to training local missionaries to reach unreached people groups with the Gospel. We have over 30 full-time missionaries actively working with different churches. Our mission is to plant churches and spread the message of Christ in regions like Turkana, East & West Pokot, Trans Mara, and South & North Sudan among Nubian communities.
One of the major milestones in my ministry journey was when I was installed as the PEFA Bishop of the South Rift Region this year in May. I serve nine districts, which include Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Kakamega, and Elgeyo Marakwet counties. This is a great honor for me to serve at this level, and I am committed to giving spiritual leadership and guidance to the congregations in these areas.
I have seen the transformative power of the Gospel in the lives of individuals and communities throughout my ministry. The journey has been filled with challenges but also incredible blessings and moments of divine intervention. Each step has reaffirmed my calling and deepened my commitment to serving the Kingdom of God.
My focus has always been on winning souls for Christ, as we were taught in the Great Commission. The teachings and values instilled in me during my time at KBC have been a guiding light in my ministry. They shaped my approach to leadership and service, emphasizing the importance of faith, dedication, and compassion.
As we continue to expand our mission and reach new areas, the support and prayers of the community remain vital. We are together in making a difference that will last, taking the light of Christ to the furthest reaches and encouraging others to join this noble cause. The journey is far from over, and there is still much work to be done. However, I am confident that with God’s guidance and support from our community, we will continue to make giant strides in our mission.
I am grateful for the journey and the privilege to serve in all these things. The Lord has been so good to us, and my prayer is that somehow, I will always keep my eyes on soul-winning for Christ. May we press on in continuous diligent service for the glory of God and the extension of His Kingdom. Let us strive together for the betterment of the church and society for a brighter future, encouraged by the love and teachings of Christ.
